Chardee (pronounced Shar’-dee) Watowich has been keeping photo albums since childhood. As an elementary school teacher, she created newsletter-style scrapbooks for the parents of her students, which detailed the highlights of her classroom activities. After the birth of her first child, Chardee chose to leave the classroom in order to raise her children at home. It was then that the enjoyment of scrapbooking became a passion. Since 1999, she has enjoyed completing scrapbooks of her own family’s photos as well as designing albums for others. In 2004, A Page To Remember went from dream to reality. Specializing in Custom Scrapbooks, the business also offers a selection of Pre-Made Albums, Custom Paperweights, Unique, Handmade Gifts and Decor items as well as other scrapbook-related services.
Chardee gives credit to God for her creative abilities and thanks both of her parents for always encouraging her to explore creative outlets. Chardee’s husband and three children are a constant and abundant source of support and inspiration. Without them, A Page To Remember would certainly not exist.
In addition to her work with A Page To Remember, Chardee also enjoys teaching scrapbook classes and hosting monthly Crop Nights. She was a 2004 member of the Scrapbook Maniac Design Team. She is interested in furthering her work in the scrapbook industry through product design and special events planning.
Chardee feels that scrapbooking is something in which everyone should invest. Her thoughts on scrapbooking? “If you have an interest in scrapbooking, give it a try. You might just be hooked. If you don’t have the time or desire to do it yourself, hire a qualified artist to complete your memory albums for you. Your photos and memorabilia are your gift to future generations. They are truly your life’s story and should be preserved in a manner that will ensure their existence for future generations. It is such an exciting moment,” Chardee shares, “when a client receives his or her completed album for the first time. Photos and memorabilia, that were once hidden in boxes or closets, have been transformed into a priceless gift--a true work of art--that each client will be proud to display in their home and then pass down to future generations. The expression in a client’s eyes as they discover the uniqueness of each page is the best part of my job!”
